miniflux users unable to access RSS feeds
Resolved
-
Confirmed the miniflux application is making many requests to different feeds all at the exact same time due to the app failing to space out its requests. The severity of the issue is especially increased when a miniflux user has subscribed to many RSS feeds from the same website. Therefore, websites are likely to continue to block detecting and blocking the application.
Users experiencing this issue will need to contact the miniflux developer for a resolution. The blocking will resolve automatically once the developer can remedy the issue. If miniflux is self-hosted, proper configurations will need to be set.

This issue has been resolved and is now being mitigated by restricting the application's requests through our abuse protection. Because miniflux is not a verified reader, it will continue to be automatically restricted when excessive requests are made—even if those requests are made across multiple IP addresses and regardless of their User Agent.
If you are a miniflux user and donating at least $25 or more per month to help with server costs, please contact us for a special token that can be added to the application that will remove these restrictions.
