Reddit RSS feeds

Open RSS feeds are available for many different areas on Reddit and offers unique benefits when compared to Reddit's own RSS feeds.

  • Full content in all feeds
  • Includes images
  • Supports old.reddit.com links
  • Individual feeds for comments made in a Reddit post
  • Feeds filtered by a Reddit search term

Subreddit feed

  1. Navigate to any subreddit on reddit.com (e.g. reddit.com/r/modhelp).
  2. Optionally apply any filters by sorting by Rising, Hot or Top (defaults to New)
  3. Optionally apply frequency by sort by dropdown to Now, Today, This Week This Month, This Year or All Time.
  4. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  5. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  6. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

Subreddit comments feed

  1. Navigate to any subreddit on old.reddit.com (e.g. old.reddit.com/r/modhelp).
  2. Due to Reddit not providing a link on its site, you'll need to manually add /comments to the end of the URL in your browser location bar (e.g. old.reddit.com/r/modhelp/comments)
  3. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  4. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  5. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

User feed

An RSS feed can be generated for a user's comments and posts.

  1. Navigate to any Reddit user's page reddit.com (e.g. reddit.com/user/spez).
  2. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  3. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  4. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

Post comments feed

An RSS feed can be generated for all comments on an individual Reddit post.

  1. Navigate to any Reddit post on reddit.com (e.g. reddit.com/r/redditsecurity/comments/d6l41l/an_update_on_content_manipulation_and_an_upcoming/).
  2. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  3. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  4. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

Search feed

RSS feed for any search term across the entire Reddit platform can be generated with the following.

  1. Navigate to reddit.com.
  2. Type in any search term in the search box.
  3. Optionally, check "limit my search to" to limit the search results to a specific subreddit.
  4. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  5. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  6. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

Old Reddit support

If you'd prefer to use old.reddit.com, all RSS feeds above come with an alternative version that will ensure all links go to old.reddit.com instead of reddit.com. Just use old.reddit.com instead of reddit.com in the feed URL.

Reddit's RSS feeds

If you'd prefer to use RSS feeds directly from Reddit instead of through Open RSS, you can do so using the instructions outlined below.

  1. Navigate to any subreddit or post on reddit.com
  2. In your browser location bar, add .rss (or .atom) to the end of the URL (e.g. reddit.com/r/redditsecurity.rss)
  3. Navigate to the updated URL to load the RSS feed.
  4. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.

Website search feed

You can get an RSS feed that tracks all Reddit posts that link to any website.

  1. In your browser location bar navigate to  reddit.com/domain/ followed by the website (e.g. reddit.com/domain/geeksforgeeks.org).
  2. While on the page, add openrss.org/ at the beginning of the URL of the page in your browser bar.
  3. Navigate to the updated URL to generate the Open RSS feed.
  4. Add the RSS feed to your RSS reader.
